Mayor Cranley committed Cincinnati to transition to
. . . 100% renewable energy by 2035.
As part of this commitment,
. . . he pledged that the City will build
. . . 25 megawatts of solar across Cincinnati.
These installations will represent the
. . . largest on-site solar commitment of any municipality in the United States.
Installation of the new solar panels is expected to begin in 2019.
“The 25-megawatt solar installation is huge, and
. . . we are moving forward with that process,
. . . but buying green energy for City facilities now,
. . . is another big step toward meeting our commitment to go
. . . 100% renewable,” added Mayor Cranley.
