Climate change is kicking our butts and no one seems to notice? _____?

Frogs in the pot effect.

The "merchants of doubt," the denialosphere, has dumbed down too many people to frog level (not referring to the French either).  Easy to do.

Now we have a frog-in-chief here in the US.

A NY Times David Leonhardt opinion piece seems to sum up informed opinion on climate change/global warming's effect on the Harvey storm and flooding: https://www.nytimes....tml?ref=opinion

Made worse by humans, almost certainly.  No way to tell for sure, of course.  No way to tell exactly how much. Worse though.

What caught my eye was that 73 degree bit about the Gulf of Mexico.  Surface water temperature not going below 73 F last winter?  Hard for me to imagine.  Something I'd expect in an equatorial area.   I live near the ocean, the Pacific.  Lately the surface temperature of the water has been abnormally warm, 61 F.
