A $50 million bet on the 129MWh battery, will
. . . charge up battery packs when you have excess power, and cost of production is very low,
. . . discharge it when the cost of power production is high, and
. . . this effectively lowers the average cost to the end customer.

If 2/3 of all electricity generation in the USA, is "Rejected Energy."
. . . doesn't this effectively triple, the average cost to the end customer.

How much of renewable electricity generation is rejected?

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, U.S.A. says,

"Fuel you pay for" what makes Transportation:
. . . . . .  27.9 Quads = Transportation,
. . . . . . - 5.86 Quads = Energy Services,
. . . . . . --------------
. . . . . .   22.0 Quads = Rejected Energy = Smoke, Engine Losses, Standby idle, Drivetrain Losses, etc

Why does the chart label say "Rejected Energy," NOT "Rejected Electricity,"
. . . because "Petroleum," is NOT "Rejected Electricity,"
"Fuel you pay for" a Gal of gas,
. . . 12% moves the vehicle,
. . . 88% is "Rejected Energy."

"Fuel you pay for" what makes Electricity:
. . . . . .  37.5 Quads = Generation,
. . . . . . -12.6 Quads = Energy Services
. . . . . . --------------
. . . . . .   24.9 Quads = Rejected Energy = Smoke, Heat, Moving big metal things, Transmission losses, etc.
