Safer, cheaper and more convenient?

Safer?  Lots of bad drivers on the road, lots of distracted drivers too, so safer sounds reasonable.

Cheaper? From what I've been reading, the cheaper part isn't likely to be true.
The linked article in the above post includes the following: "Driverless cars are far more complex..."
Add driverless capability to an existing sort of auto and it'll get more expensive.

More convenient? If current auto capabilities are kept, then sure.  Kind of like having a chauffeur.  Need to keep current auto capabilities though.  From what I've read, poor roads are difficult for driverless cars, if pavement paint striping is badly worn of if roadwork is being done, gets hard.  No Idea how a gravel road is handled.

Safer?  I agree!
Cheaper?  The first ones should be very expensive, but:
. . . All electric,
. . . Renewable Energy for Fuel,
. . . No moving parts to wear out,
. . . No need of maintenance,
. . . Lower insurance costs,
. . . Much better Audio/Visual internet Communication, plus Transportation,
. . . like the computer, cellphone, cameras, mail, it gets cheaper, simpler, smaller, and
. . . everyone has to have one.
Convenient? With all the above toys, you may have a hard time getting people out of them.
