Part of the toxic stew that made up "Agent Orange"......
    Should it matter that the 2,4,D stuff that permission is being sought for is the part of agent orange that isn't implicated in the human ill effects of agent orange?  See  http://en.wikipedia....ki/Agent_orange   Not that I think that using lots more 2,4,D is a good  idea.  It is a fairly persistent chlorinated substance, will harm natural ecosystems that it leaks into.

So you don't have a problem.....because wiki says so?
  Other references suggesting that it wasn't the 2,4,D that was the agent orange culprit, but other components, especially a particular dioxin, abbreviated TCDD : http://www.cancer.or...ange-and-cancer    and  http://www.publichea...ange/basics.asp  and  http://www.ncbi.nlm..../pubmed/7348691   and  http://www.cheeseslave.com/   and   http://makeagentoran...-orange-dioxin/    and so forth.

Ignorant Brit here but I thought EPA was Environmental Protection Agency.
Maybe there's an Association as well?

Some members on these boards have disagreed with me on this, but I believe it needs the light of day.

People need to be aware of what monsanto and dow are up too with these nasty chemicals.

The epa is taking public comment (link within link) so let your voice be heard.

"Scientists, human and environmental health advocates, farming organizations,
and food transparency groups have urged government regulators to think twice about unleashing more 2,4-D."

Related-
epa is also delaying their decision on formaldehyde in wood composite products;
leaving the comment period open until May 26th.
