Some of the pro's listed in the article-
1- It's cleaner than petroleum; (as the marine plants devour carbon dioxide from
the atmosphere.)
2- It flourishes in a wide range of habitats.
3- It isn't hazardous (like nuclear fuel)
4-It's biodegradable.
5-It doesn't compete with food supplies like corn or soybeans.
6- Cultivating it takes up less land mass.
7- It could be priced as low as $2.00 a gallon.

One article is about wood (the bottom one), the top article is about bio-fuels in general.
My own idea is that any fuel or power that puts out GHG emissions is not good in a world where we need extreme emissions reduction.

Agreed but all sources have to be looked at. If coal and oil/gas can be seen for what they are-death to us
and the planet, then I'm for the exploration of alternatives.
Granted, more polluting that solar and wind, but we still have to consider it.
One of my main concerns would be mining the ocean's for it.
It has a purpose there, so leave it there.
Appreciate your input.
