Hi,
Just wanted to share with you the new solar rooftop PV installation that was connected to the public grid in Switzerland. The principle is to store the energy by decreasing the temperature of three freezer warehouses (down to -28 degrees celsius) where the huge supermarket chain Migros is storing there products. Once the temperature is cool enough, the power is not used anymore to keep the temperature that cool but can give enough electricity to about 1300 homes until the freezer's temperature is back to -24 degrees celsius. This is a collaboration between IBM, Migros and Tritec. This is better explained here :

Obama is saying we need to do more with our energy savings programs. Why don't we adopt some of the Swiss ideas. It would certainly create jobs and improve our infrastructure.
