Do you know of more sites where you can exchange/give items away/swap?
Please list them here. Recycle!

Hey cool. I've used freecycle.org exclusively so I didn't know about the other sites. I really like the concept of SwapDen a lot. It looks like they're new and don't have a lot going on yet, but it seems like it could easily grow. Trading and bartering goods and services makes so much sense in terms of personal finances and this economy. I'm off to explore that site some more.... Thanks!

I have heard that freecycle is great and they have one for just about every state I think.  I know we have a freecycle for our town, but in town here we can leave something by the road and somebody in need or want will gladly pick it up within 15 minutes.  So this is what many people here do.  I usually donate unwanted things to charity myself.   I will keep a look out for other sites and share any good ones if I find any!

The same thing happens here. I have a brilliant set of patio furniture that somebody just dumped by the roadside. The table was fine, but the chairs were dirty. Obviously somebody with more money than sense couldn't be bothered to clean them up, and went and bought new ones. My husband's workshop is full of old cupboards and benches that were dumped outside the skip at the bottom of our road, and my friend salvaged a 3-tier steamer that only needed descaling around the element.

Hardly a week goes by when we don't get something. If neither of us wants it, we sell it at the local car boot sale and put the money aside until we have enough for the four of us to have a meal out.

Those are nice sites.
In here, you can give away some of your stuffs in a junk shop near you or ask our neighbors if they would want to reuse such item. There are also charity institutions where things that can still be used can be donated.
