Solar Generators. Opinion Blog Post.

Spring 2012.

With recent March temperatures in the 70's and 80's in many parts of
the country, people are finally realizing that climate change is here,
and here to stay.
Even if we drastically reduce emissions (which doesn't seem likely
anytime soon) we will have extreme weather events for decades
to come.
Floods, droughts, record breaking heat.

The brownouts and blackouts that we will experience in a few
months from an overloaded, antiquated grid system will have us
all scurrying for solutions.
Solar generators, and leasing solar panels may be the best option.

The do nothing congress is dragging their feet on bridges and roads.
The idea of upgrading our aging grid system isn't even on their
radar screens yet, let alone talked about.

But with millions of us cranking up the a/c power in just a few short weeks
should be cause for concern as we burn even more coal to power
those units.

How many of you have considered solar?
Buying, leasing, or getting a solar generator is an excellent way to
"break the chains of fossil fuels" that shackle us and keep us
on the path to a warmer planet.
