Fukushima will take until mid-century,
. . . before the disaster is contained and cleaned up.
The fuel rods that were being stored in damaged Reactor 4 have been removed.
. . . The cores of Reactors 1, 2 and 3 have yet to be located.
. . . Are they still sitting on the floor of the containment building,
. . . or have they melted through many feet of concrete, and
. . . into the ground water table?
The place is just too hot to go into.
. . . Even mechanical robots sent into the hot zone,
. . . are having their circuits fried by gamma radiation.
Meanwhile, in the USA, 4 new plants are under construction:
. . . 2 in Georgia, and
. . . 2 in South Carolina.
