Keep It Simple Stupid (Kiss)

Sometimes, business procedures are not simple enough.
Example: Tesco sells about one million sandwiches a day,
. . . Customer's label on the front of the package and bar code on the back.
. . . when shelf life caused price reductions, both labels had to be changed, and
. . . checkout people had to verify both sides were changed.
. . . costing extra work labeling, checkout time wasted, customer waiting.
Simple change: customer label with bar code is now one label on the package front.
. . . Cost savings: over 1/2 a million pounds.
'It's so simple, why did we not think of this ages ago?'
