UK’s electricity sector, is governed by the Electricity Market Reform (EMR),

. . . . . . Fossil-fuel sectors receive subsidies via the capacity market, and
. . . . . . Renewable energy sector via the Contracts for Difference (CfDs) scheme,
. . . where all power investments need to be decided by the UK government.
