Solar Power, Is It Worth It?

If you live in Israel, Spain or Hawaii, where they have a law that all new homes must have a Solar water heaters, the answer is YES!
If you live in Alaska, where they had snow for 24 days straight, that amounted to 175 inches, the answer is NO!

In many climates, a solar heating system can provide a very high percentage (50% to 75%) of domestic hot water energy.

In many northern European countries, solar power is used not only to heat water, but also to provide 15 to 25% of home heating energy.

When deciding wether to install Solar energy or not, First look to the Laws, and Climate, before comparing the relative benefits of installing Solar energy.
That being said, as the price of non-renewable resources rise, and the price of "Solar" is currently dropping so rapidly, that it is DEFINITELY becoming worth it, in many more places, than ever before.
