China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) launched “Top Runner Program” in 2015,
. . . to prompt using high-efficiency PV products, and
. . . to accelerate PV industry transformation.
The first phase of the Program’s demonstration projects,
. . . located in Datong, Shanxi province, began on June 25, 2015,
. . . totaling 1GW of installation, is nearly completed.
The 2nd phase of the projects are selected to be built in Baotou, Inner Mongolia.
. . . which has been suffering from desertification.
