There are so many monied entities in the country, which would stand to lose funds, if certain standards would be put into place, which would curtail the progress of polluting and degrading the air, the oceans and whatever else they constantly ruin. These entities, have no interest in stopping, or trying to improve certain conditions. Even if it means that people's health will suffer, or pregnant women's babies will have deficiencies, even before they are born, due to air pollution . It is more important to these people, such as the Koch brothers or Michele Bachmann who gets contributions from the Koch brothers, that the EPA is dismantled, so that the work the agency does to try to have cleaner air, through less carbon emissions, is stymied. Because this would stall their progress and keep them from making more and more money. Greed is the answer to why Global Warming is falling off the national agenda.

I really like the "Memos to Ourselves" part. I tried to explain to a couple of hard core friends of mine why they shouldn't be quite so dismissive and belligerent whenever anyone disagreed with them. I think the art of convincing people with debate is getting kind of lost in our increasingly specialized-niche culture, so now nobody knows what to do when they have to stop preaching to the choir as it were. One thing I can say for certain: I have never managed to change anyone's mind about anything by yelling at them, or telling them how incredibly stupid they are.

That soon-to-be thick smog in the photo is really scary. A lot of that is still ongoing in many plants and factories. Pres. Obama should be strong-willed in having the management of factories such as this work on sealing their chimneys if they can't produce clear air.
Publicity, I must say, helps a lot to spread awareness on blindfolded citizens. However, the Must Do’s sometimes don’t cover all four directions if media won’t broaden their reach and decided to put down their rolling cameras and pens about the matter. I admire Ms. Dominique Browning for continuously tapping the consciousness of those who tend to or already forget the big fight against Global Warming. It’ll all start with the leader of course. President Obama should have it amongst the top on his lists. Actually, the citizens, the media and the leaders should be working side by side about the matter. If one party abandons it, the fallout is that a cessation happens and then again other recent event would pile up over it.
