This is fantastic. I have to admit, I'm surprised to see this type of forward thinking come out of the south, but happy nonetheless. I think he has a real fight on his hands though. I know it's only a nickel, but there are people who will surely protest paying it to support technology that they themselves aren't currently using. There is also the whole tea party mentality of "government bad." Well see what happens. It's important just to have the discussion.

A nickel a month to each person isn't that much but collectively could fund some nice projects that could eventually save them more.
Georgia Power is a good company, glad they're coming out with great ideas. I hope this spreads!
