Has the cost of photovoltaic roofing panels gone down in your community? I know that in Colorado, a number of companies are trying to get these costs down. I'm afraid that, until they do, solar energy panels won't quite be in mainstream usage yet...

I have no idea on the pricing for home-use panels. My neighbor has a couple on his roof. He's always raving about them. Haha.
Can anyone tell me how much they cost or direct me to a good place that sells them?
Thanks,
Neodoxa

Check in your yellow pages--or online--for solar energy construction. Most cities have quite a few solar panel vendors these days. Of course, it depends upon where you live--it seems like there's a solar panel installer on every street corner in Colorado, they're so popular there!

I've never even heard of photovoltaic panels. There is so much to learn on this forum. Sorry I can't answer your question.

I've seen small systems in discounters like Harbor Freight, but there still isn't much in the way of contractors who are advertising that they're reducing pricing. Whether it's because they don't think they would be likely to find many takers for the upgrade or not is one possible reason for this current lack of interest.
