International Energy Agency (IEA),
. . . examined the global opportunities for improving energy efficiency through to 2040, and
. . . found that gains in energy efficiency would:
. . . . . . reduce energy bills for consumers by more than $500 billion per year,
. . . . . . decrease energy imports, and
. . . . . . reduce air pollution in cities.

Every single country in the world,
. . . has energy efficiency potential, and
. . . the right efficiency policies could alone,
. . . enable the world to achieve more than
. . . 40% of the emissions cuts needed to reach its climate goals,
. . . without requiring new technology.
