Newport, NH, Solar project will serve:
. . . . . . School District offices,
. . . . . . 3 schools,
. . . . . . public library,
. . . . . . airport,
. . . . . . wastewater treatment plant,
. . . . . . police,
. . . . . . EMS, and
. . . . . . fire departments.

In the past t2 years, the Town has converted,
. . . all of its offices, and
. . . street lighting systems to LEDs.

A PPA, calls for the placement of solar PV arrays,
. . . at the closed Town landfill, and
. . . on land adjacent to the wastewater treatment plant.
Land selected for the solar arrays,
. . . are either under-utilized,
. . . or currently not developable.
