Puerto Rican power utility,
. . . boasted that it had restored electricity to
. . . 97% in the nearly
. . . 7 months since Hurricane Maria.
. . . 2 days later, the precarious electric grid collapsed,
. . . as a result of a minor accident,
. . . plunging the entire island into a blackout.

So far, the hurricane has triggered,
. . . more than a thousand deaths,
. . . a mental health crisis, and
. . . a mass exodus from the island.

The next hurricane season, is just
. . . 6 weeks away.
