2012’s Hurricane Sandy, in particular,
. . . was an eye-opening experience, with regards to solar technology.
When the Grid went down,
. . . Solar panel generation, was automatically shut off.

Resilient solar/storage systems, however,
. . . differs from traditional solar,
. . . in that it can function,
. . . during normal grid operations,
but also, when the electric grid is down, and
. . . includes energy storage.

NYSolar Smart DH Hub,
. . . began their planned roadmap, by identifying roadblocks,
. . . to the implementation of this Resilient solar/storage system.
The first is the fact,
. . . that there is no incentive,
. . . for Resilient solar/storage systems,
. . . to provide grid services.

Most people are unaware,
. . . that Resilient solar/storage systems,are even a suitable replacement of diesel generators,
. . . nor that the cost of these facilities are sharply declining,
. . . becoming much more affordable.
