Hi. I am involved with a new project to use crowdsourcing to monitor landscape change (http://www.hampshire...scapewatch.com/). We are running a project in the county of Hampshire UK where you can look at pairs of aerial photos to identify the land uses present and measure how the landscape has changed between 2005 and 2013.

We are looking for feedback on the system too and may expand the scope of the project as we get more participation.

The resulting data will be open source and released publicly.

Your website says it is using "Cookies" to store things on peoples computers.

Why?

Hi Eds,

Cookies are small files that your browser stores about the pages you have accessed. We use Google Analytics, which in turn uses cookies. You can find more information on what they do with the cookies here: https://developers.g...kie-usage?hl=en

But its basically so we can see how many people have visited the site and other statistics, Google analytics does not store any personal information, more details on their privacy can be found here https://support.goog...answer/6004245.

We added that message so that our users are well informed, however a lot of websites use cookies, and a good many do not tell you they are doing so.

Here is a guide for how to disable cookies if you wish to do so:

Thanks, a working link for the privacy details is here: https://support.goog.../answer/6004245

I was not actually but it looks very interesting, I have kept my eye open for solar panels when using landscape watch and found a couple, though they can be hard to spot, a map of good locations to put more is definitely food for thought, cheers.

Every website out there uses cookies. Periodically clean out your history on Google Chrome; there's a tab there
just for cleaning cookies. I usually clean everything out once a week or so.
(But as we all know; if the "authorities" want your old data-it's still there)

. . . DB Its tough and no joke and the
. . . live electrical wires at the end are scary I have been looking more things to do for
. . . VA support

"DB" = Data Base?
"live electrical wires at the end" = Solar panel connections?
"VA" = Veterans Administration?
