Every $1 Of Solar Incentives . . . Puts $2.46 Into The Economy.

$48.2M will be injected in to the economy as a result of the,
. . . $19.6M that the state will pay out in solar incentives.

Here’s how the $48M breaks out as injections,
. . . into the Washington local economy:

$25.4 million in payroll
$21.5 million in equipment purchases from in-state suppliers and vendors
$1.3 million in tax revenues to state and local governments (B&O, Sales, Business Permits)

IBM's, High Concentration PhotoVoltaic Thermal (HCPVT 33 ft tall "Sunflower"),
. . . concentrates the sun’s radiation over 2,000 times on a single point, and
. . . then transforms 80% of that into usable energy.
Using a number of liquid-cooled micro-channel receivers,
. . . each equipped with an array of multi-junction photovoltaic chips,
. . . each HCPVT can produce enough power, water, and cooling,
. . . to supply several homes.

Distributed Solar + Storage(DSS):

Investment bank Citigroup predicts,
. . . that the wide deployment of storage technologies,
. . . will hasten the demise of fossil fuels across the globe.

2010, the U.S. solar industry installed,   340 MW, at a cost of $6.40 per watt.
2014, the U.S. solar industry installed, 1,330 MW, at a cost of $2.36 per watt.
Solar Costs, plunged so rapidly,
. . . that, balance-of-system costs today, make up the majority of system prices.
. . . That’s today’s land of opportunity for further cost declines in solar.

And now, battery energy storage is undergoing a similar evolution.
. . . But, Storage costs will fall, faster than they did for Solar,
. . . because, the issue will rapidly move beyond those people,
. . . with a narrow focus on utilities and energy markets,
. . . into part of mainstream financial thinking, and
. . . will have a profound influence on capital flows across the globe.

CEO Elon Musk mentioned that work on a Tesla home battery system was completed, and
. . . that they would be ready to unveil the design in "the next month or two",
. . . with production possibly starting in about 6 months.
"It's really great. I'm really excited about it," said Musk.

This is of course part of the larger plan.
. . . Tesla never saw itself as just an electric car maker,
. . . but rather as an "energy innovation company".

Analysis from Deutsche Bank finds that rooftop solar,
. . . will be as cheap as traditional power by 2016, in all 50 states.
. . . (this is already happening in 11 states)
