They still spout the old talking points on intermittency, scalability or even inability to provide baseline power, even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Well we here at Alt Energy Shift have spent a lot of time and effort over the last few years dispelling all that misdirection and hubris, which is why we want to share this particular article from CleanTechnica because as the editors note it provides a great summery piece on just how much the United States and world has changed over the past few years and why the momentum for renewable will only continue to grow and accelerate in the future.
I would recommend you read the whole story and be advised that as of today at least 14% of all energy produced in the United States is from renewable energy, the reason for the at least bit is that not all renewable energy is grid tied meaning the EIA number of 14% is the low ball number with some thinking it might be as high as 18 % and may break the 20%point by the end of 2014.
