The Crazy Raspberry Ant is an invasive species of ant which seems to come from Brazil. They love warm, humid climates and are almost completely unaffected by pesticides. They aren't attracted to ant bait and colonies are almost impossible to kill since they have multiple queens.
The invade electronics, chew through the insulation and cause short circuits. When they die they put off a chemical which attracts other ants. In other words, they enter your electronics, eat the insulation and then draw more colony members when they die.

The only upside seems that they love to eat fireants.
