Hi guys,
I know you guys probably read digital magazines or recycle all your magazines, but just in case some of you still have some magazines lying around, I found this blog post with 100 suggestions for crafts that can be made from old magazines. I like to make stuff and I thought some of these ideas looked fun so I'm just sharing the link. I like making my own envelopes from magazines because the envelopes you make from magazine or calendar pages look a lot cooler than the white ones that people buy. Just take apart a junk mail envelope, trace around it on to a magazine page with a beautiful picture, cut the envelope shape out and assemble it with a glue stick using the old envelope you took apart as a template to see where to fold.

This is right up my alley! I love crafts and I have bookmarked the page. There are so many ideas and it will be fun to try them out and even put my own twist to them. I think my favorite may be the boxes. I need some creative boxes to store my threads and yarns.
A friend of mine made some paper beads before and shared the idea with me and they have a look. It just feels good to take something you would have thrown away and make something useful from it. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, there are a lot of ideas on that link! I had forgotten about making beads with them. I used to do that when I was a kid and they actually turn out really good. I've marked the page to come back to and explore it further when I have a bit more time. I would like to make Christmas presents this year and I am sure that I will be making some of the ideas on there. Thanks for posting it!

This is a great link. I particularly liked the kids' ideas - making ornaments and weaving the magazine paper. Much better than letting them slob out in front of a games console or computer, and it helps to teach them that lots of things can be recycled and re-used. The beads are good as well. I'm constantly amazed by what can be made from 'trash.'

I love reusing products before I choose to recycle them. Of course, I am reusing them which is good.
I do like donating magazines I've read to schools for craft projects, summer camps or office waiting rooms of non-profits. These kinds of places are always in need of donations.

Nice find! Thank you for sharing. I have a stack of magazines that I turn to just for a couple of ideas and look at the rest because the pictures are pretty! Now, I can take what I want out of the magazine and reuse the rest! Goodbye stack of magazines, hello hours of crafting with the kids.

Magazine pages are wonderful for children's art projects. They are colorful and you don't mind them cutting them up.
I am in awe of people's creativity. Take a look at this waste basket that was from one of the links. I don't think I'd have the patience, especially if the paper kept uncoiling. But, it does come out quite nicely, don't you think?

My stepdaughter would love this! We have so many magazines around since our recycling truck only stops by once per month.

I get so many magazines and usually just give them to friends when I am done reading them, but this is a great way to reuse my old financial magazines that my friends don't want! Thanks for the crafting ideas. I like the magazine frame!
