This pic came up via Fb. I'm not sure if it is only a mock up?
Would it really work?

Looks like a nice idea, it could be used as an exercise equipment and mower at the same time.
Not sure either if that will work but definitely a nice and earth friendly idea.

That is a novel idea. Can exercise and get the lawn done at once. Too bad I doubt it would work for getting anyone in my family to mow the lawn, it would involve too much human power. I suppose that at least you wouldn't hurt your back as much bending over and all. You get to sit. I would like to know if anyone has really tried it and how it works out for them?

Great idea. It should work if the bike is strong enough. Neat. Two for the price of one. Thanks for sharing.

I don't see why it wouldn't work.  The only thing is that I wouldn't let the grass get too long before cutting! I personally would prefer a bigger mowing area on my bike tho, cover more ground at once for the hot summers
Not only would you not need gas or oil, you wouldn't have pollution and you wouldn't burn your grass from the heat of the mower!

Paint it yellow and stencil on "Live Strong" on the side-people really like Armstrong and might build one too.

Looks like it could work - actually, it looks like quite an old photo when you look closer. It certainly ticks the right boxes, both for activity levels and green credentials. Whether you'd get a neat, uniform cut is something else. I reckon it would start out great, then peter out as you ran out of steam. On the next cut, you'd need to start at last time's finishing place to achieve some semblance of order.

I would be a tad bit worried if the person riding the lawn bike fell. I wonder what would happen and if they would be badly injured. I think two wheels in the back would stabilize it so it would be harder to tip over. It is interesting to see too. I think the handle to the mower needs to be at a different angle, more of a 70 to 80 degree angle to get it to move and mow. As a kid growing up, we had a push mower and it needed to be at an angle to get going.

I had thought that the mower needed to be set forward at an angle a bit more, too. We used to have to mow our yard by hand and it does need to be at an angle to work. It is an interesting concept and it really gives a whole new meaning to the term "riding mower"!

The basic idea is cool. I don't know if the exact one in the picture would work, but someone could probably tweak it and build one that would work properly and start a small business selling them. You would need to have a pretty good sized yard to use one of these but that's true of most riding mowers.  I wonder what other kinds of things you could attach to a bicycle. Some kind of spiky wheel to weed and aerate the yard? Something to rake/push leaves into a pile?

I think that this is such a creative idea. Getting two things done at once. I hope he finds a company that will help him get it on the market.

This is really nice! I love the idea! I would love working out while mowing the lawn. It would really save so much time. I wonder if this is real though but from the picture, it seems that it could work. I think that it would take more time to mow the lawn but that's the point of the workout, right? It also saves you the trouble of getting gas and other stuff that a mower usually needs to run properly. All this bike needs is human power.
