mittens will say anything to the particular crowd he's in front of. He has no core values whatsoever.
His flip-flops have become legendary.
He is not to be trusted, and he runs with the rich folks by choice, greed, whatever and they include big oil
companies, and he's not going to hurt his buddies.

And it may be that he also lied about his residence, and therefore, wasn't qualified to hold the office of
governor. He lived in his kids basement for a year? Yeah right. And his
tax returns were never produced to prove residence in Massachusetts. He was living in Utah at the time.
All of this is coming out now; but that's another thread.

Just found this, although it's a few days old.
mittens would "allow" the tax credits for the wind industry to expire.
But for the oil/gas industry?
Not so much.
Here.

FamilyTreeClimber, that is great news about California. The state needs some good news on  some front. I never thought that anyone could make me want to forgive W for his shortcomings, but Romney sure has. The news media is as lax about substantive reporting as they can be. Why Congress gets a paycheck is beyond me. They are always in a lame duck session. Boehner should be booted.
If only Obama could have the house on his side, America might have a chance at bigger changes in energy resources that would be beneficial to all. Hopefully he will have a chance to bring more energy policy changes, that will make a difference.

Here's a good summery of what Obama has done. He did quite a bit in his first 100 days; many of which have
never been reported.

And this list shows his accomplishments so far-there are several sections to click on.

Curious about where Mitt Romney stands on environmental issues? Good luck visiting his site and finding the word "environment" anywhere on his list of issues. It's not there.

Want to read a different view on who would be better for the Environment, check out this article.

It's curious because they both have kids.
But maybe mittens thinks he can just load up the family and sail off on one of his yacht's and not be bothered
with the problems of the land locked society, once the AWG extremes hit the fan?.

The DNC, led by Barack Obama state-
"Our opponents have moved so far to the right as to doubt the science of climate change," it declares, adding:

We know that global climate change is one of the biggest threats of this generation -- an economic, environmental, and national security catastrophe in the making. We affirm the science of climate change, commit to significantly reducing the pollution that causes climate change, and know we have to meet this challenge by driving smart policies that lead to greater growth in clean energy generation and result in a range of economic and social benefits."

And of course, mittens mocks the president about rising sea levels and healing the planet
but he's really mocking the science and the intelligence of the American people.

This two party BS is really not working out any more, is it?  I'm finding myself socially liberal, fiscally conservative, and whatever side would be environmentally friendly as a matter of course- the side that doesn't exist yet, I'm guessing.

Independents; if they can get it together to form a viable third party (or if all goes well, and the republicans
are booted out  ) then it would be dems/indy's.

People might be surprise to know that Nixon was an environmentalist.  We have him to thank for the EPA.  There was a time when the Republican party embraced conservation as part of the role of being a good citizen and being a conservative.  It was the Democrats who fought against these regulations.  In the last 40 years we've seen those stances shift completely.

E3, I heard Mitt Romney's remarks about making us energy independent in 8 years.  There are no specifics though.  It's a great thing to say like the candidate who said he would bring back $2 a gallon gasoline.  It makes people feel wonderful, but unless you can be specific about it, I don't buy it.  If Romney plans to open up the coasts for oil drilling which he has hinted at, how will he keep the oil here in the US.  It will go on the open market, so whose to say any more oil drilling will benefit us?

I agree that Obama has done much for promoting alternative energy in this country.  Once again, the news media pays no notice.

His specifics are he's pro coal (minus all regulations of course) pro oil "drill baby drill", again. with zero to no
regulations and of course, keep the oil subsides in place that cost taxpayers millions.

  http://current.com/s...er-regulations/

And he proudly wears his LARGE H (for hypocrite) pin on his neck brace. (He has to wear his neck brace
all the time now from the severe whiplash he gets everyday from changing his position on policies.)
He rags at Obama about welfare and yet received "corporate welfare" while he was at bain; to the tune
of $37 million in grants and subsides.

Granted, it's a bit long and also keep in mind that mittens has changed his mind and back again on many of these
issues, but here's a list of their (Obama and mittens) views; environmental and otherwise.

Interesting article (linked below) from the New York Times about Obama and his environmental stand
(or his lack thereof for the past two years) <_<
Granted, he's up against  it with our "just say no" congress, but he has failed to talk about it too.

At the DNC convention, he sparked new interest in it. And us greens have been waiting for that spark.
He's done quite a lot by bypassing the system; he has to.
mcconnell-boehner-cantor and the rest of the baggers won't' lift a finger to help him even if it
means bringing down the country in the process.

We need to keep the pressure on him and the congress-senate. Let's get back to e-mailing them, sending
them tweets or letters.
Unless Mars turns into a cool place to hang out, our Earth is it. We have to fight to protect it.

From Myth Robme on Meet the Press-
"I'm not in this race to slow the rise of the oceans or to heal the planet."

What a shocker! He finally told the truth about something.

Off topic but some may not know that Nixon (I capitalize his name because of his green commitment)
accomplishments many good things for the environment.

Nixon signed OSHA into law, proposed the Environmental Protection Agency
and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Signed amendments strengthening the Clear Air Act.
He signed into law the Noise Control Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Endangered Species
Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, raised fuel economy standards, and the Lead Based Paint Poisoning Act.

But this current group we have? They gave lip service to their mindset. The law won't pass but
they wanted to make sure we knew where they stood on having a clean planet and lungs that
function.
They're against both.
Blocks carbon pollution standards, eliminate the EPA's clean car standards, nullify the EPA's
mercury and air toxic standards,
weaken the Clean Water Act
and block efforts to reduce damage from coal mining.
And what prey tell is their feeble excuse? Jobs.
GAFB.

Perhaps Myth is not worried because all yachts rise with the melting glaciers.

I too can still remember when conservatives wanted to conserve the natural  beauty of our land.   As I recall it was back before the Republican Party merged with the Jesus industry.
