Volunteering? Planting? Walking for a cause?
Spring cleaning=donating items to a shelter store?
What?

Cleaning up a park and getting some vitamin D because glory hallelujah the sun is out!! We've had a gorgeous weekend after a whole lot of rain. Perfect day to visit herons and beavers and clean up their home.

They originally had a little Earth Day community event scheduled for today.  We were going to walk to it and let the kids learn about different things by doing activities they had planned.  I am not complaining about the rain, we have been in a fire weather warning, but of course we finally get rain today and the event cannot be held.

I planted a tree today with my kids. It is a fair day for playing outside, just over 50 degrees. I did my spring cleaning a month ago when it was in the 80's!

Planted a few trees at the re-planting (at the local community event)  several pots of flowers, helped clean up the park
of trash (recycled most of it.)

Cleaning all day. Might  have the lights off, if I don't end up tripping over stuff and stubbing my toe everywhere.

I went to meet with nature. It was a nice day observing how people was doing something for our planet, but sadly many of those actions of yesterday will not last over this week, as people tend to return to old lifestyle patterns that often forget about keeping up an environmental standpoint.

We may have been rained out, but I did go through things that I can donate.  Felt like it was a good day after all.  The kids were disappointed we missed the event, but it was an outdoor event so I kept trying to explain to my youngest why we couldn't go-she wasn't believing me

That sounds pretty funny, but glad to hear you had a great Earth day despite rain and inconvenience for the kids having to stay at home.

I will be volunteering at my sister's high school and planting trees in their parking lot. I am also going to raise funds and run a 10K. The money goes to a local lake for upkeep.
