Growing bamboo can help replenish the forests, but I still feel more hardwood trees should be planted as well, because there is no replacement for them and their unique purpose in the forest; even though they take longer to develop, still start the process. There is a balanced dynamic that was designed and planting only bamboo can not restore this dynamic.
