American Wind Energy Association says about "HIDDEN COSTS":. . . conventional power plants in Texas, COST 17-20 times more than wind.
This is based on the cost of, fast-acting contingency reserves to kick in,
. . . in case of a conventional power plant failure.
Then there is the cost of building new transmission lines for wind power.
