CEO Lyndon Rive Solar City, the largest solar panel installers in the United States,
. . . announced earlier this year that it intends to build,
. . . the USA's largest solar panel factory in New York.

Musk and Rive, who are cousins, announced that within 5 to 10 years,
. . . every set of solar panels that Solar City installs will come with a battery pack
. . . to help deal with the intermittency of solar power as well as,
. . . supply batteries for Tulsa Electric Vehicles.

Batteries could store Peak Sun light, to last the rest of the day,
. . . by matching supply with demand, thus saving BIG money.

For both companies, the bet is that rapidly growing demand, will allow
. . . new economies of scale to lower the cost of manufacturing these components,
. . . which in turn will lower the cost of installed solar panel systems would be cut,
. . . from $2.30 per watt to $1.20.
